The Steam Assassin, 12”L X 6 1/2”H  w/o base

(brass chandelier parts, brass gears & knobs, electric motor coil, cabinet handles, spring, scrap wood, etc.)

Legend has it that one Dr. Bartholomew Fillmore, mad scientist extraordinaire of the late 19th century, had a bit of a tiff with a contemporary by the name of Professor Arthur Frumbeck over who was the far superior insane genius of the time. A duel was devised that pitted each man against each other sporting their latest and greatest hand weaponry invention on their person. Art wielded his current prototype from his magnetic slug launcher research whilst Bart stood proudly with his new epiphany, The Steam Assassin, a hydrogen steam pistol that was basically a hand held high pressure flame thrower. The duel ensued and Art's magnetically launched slug literally melted in mid-flight as the flames spewed forth from The Steam Assassin continued on to envelope and completely incinerate the hapless second rate former mad inventor. Never to be used again, The Steam Assassin was passed on down through generations of Fillmores and eventually forgotten because nobody could figure out how to refill the blasted thing. Bart didn't leave any instructions.
