Red Rider 10" (scrap wood, hair spray canister, electric motor casing, transistors, computer connector screws, etc.)
The Red Rider line was basically the Chevy Vega of the robot world. In other words, they were built to rust. Not many survived their self imposed disintegration date of about 10 years after manufacture, but this specimen seems to have bucked the trend. It looks like a lot of effort was put forth in trying to keep this guy together as evident by the patches that plague his body like metal scabs. I'm not sure if those are original arms or not but my hunch leans toward recent reproductions. Great display piece although I would recommend immediate encasement in some carbonite to avoid any future detioration.
